We are so grateful to our loyal Pet Parent customers for seeking out healthy food options for your furry family members and choosing Stella & Chewy's.

It wasn't that long ago we launched our direct-to-parent online store, offering one-time and subscription purchases through our Subscribe & Save program. Since then, our team has been working diligently with new and existing partners, expanding into more neighborhood pet and grocery stores to offer our Pet Parent customers more convenient options than ever before.

With this in mind, as we look ahead, we've decided that the best way to serve our Pet Parent customers is to focus on those who wish to order popular Stella & Chewy's products directly from us on a regular, consistent schedule, delivered to their door. 

What's changed?

  • One‑time purchases for Stella & Chewy’s products are no longer available online.
  • Available items can be ordered only as a flexible subscribe & save subscription (you choose the auto-ship delivery frequency).
  • Existing Stella & Chewy’s subscriptions continue without interruption; you can adjust them as usual.

Why we made this change

  • To allow us to focus on Pet Parents who want fresh, healthy food delivered to their doorstep on a predictable schedule. 
  • Fresher product, better quality. Stella & Chewy’s raw, freeze‑dried, and high‑protein recipes sell best on routine schedules. Subscriptions help us rotate stock quickly, so you receive fresher lots.
  • Fewer out‑of‑stocks. Predictable demand enables us to forecast and reserve inventory for subscribers, minimizing last-minute shortages.
  • Stable pricing. Bulk, scheduled purchasing lowers freight and handling costs, which helps keep pricing fair compared to sporadic one-off orders.
  • Less hassle for you. Pets eat on a schedule; Subscribe & Save matches that rhythm with automatic refills and reminders.
  • Lower environmental impact. Consolidated, planned shipments reduce emergency replenishments and waste.

How Subscribe & Save works

  • Pick your item and size.
  • Choose a cadence. Common options: every 4, 6, 8 weeks.
  • Check out once. We’ll ship your first order immediately.
  • Manage anytime. In My AccountMy Subscriptions, you can:
    • Change the next ship date or frequency
    • Skip a delivery
    • Add / Remove products
    • Pause or cancel anytime

FAQs

Can I still place a one‑time order?

All orders will result in a subscription. For one-time orders online, we recommend purchasing from a Stella & Chewy's authorized online retailer or visit a local neighborhood pet store. You can use our Pet Food Finder to locate a pet store near you. 

Will my price change after I subscribe?

Prices may change over time due to supplier costs. We’ll always email you before a renewal if the price is different. You can cancel before the charge if you prefer.

What if an item is temporarily out of stock?

We’ll notify you immediately, prioritize incoming inventory for active subscribers, and offer options (date shift, size/flavor swap, or refund).

Can I subscribe to multiple pets or rotate proteins?

Yes. Create multiple subscriptions or edit your delivery each cycle to rotate flavors or sizes.

Do I lose any promotions or points?

No. Eligible loyalty points and promotions still apply to subscription orders as stated in each offer’s terms.

Can I change delivery addresses or payment methods?

Yes—update them under My Account → My Subscription before your next renewal date.

Is there a minimum term or cancellation fee?

No. There’s no commitment—skip, pause, or cancel whenever you need.
